The National Council of Private Agencies for the Blind and Visually Impaired is organized for charitable and educational purposes, including improving the quality of life for those individuals who are blind or visually impaired by:

Promoting, supporting and encouraging the delivery of quality services for persons who are blind or visually impaired through its member agencies and through public education.

Providing a communication channel to members for sharing information and addressing issues related to services to people who are blind or visually impaired.

Providing a means of collaboration and cooperation among organizations, associations and related entities related to services to people who are blind or visually impaired.

Providing a forum for chief executive officers to share information and to update executive level skills for the purpose of improving services provided by the private not-for-profit agencies they direct.

To be the preeminent leader and unified voice in
the field of services to people with blindness or visual impairment
for advocacy, education, ethical management, professional growth and
enhanced services.
